A link to photos from the weekend. 200 +++ kms....6 hours for my group....170+++ riders......30 degree heat...up to 6300 feet.....amazing views....good food...good times....prizes....Priceless!!!

I took my Honda 650 through this, some were on even bigger bikes....a few dualsport riders here. you should try these rides. It is one of the only way some of you will get to travel through this country...

There are "A" B" C" loops...I did the B/A loop with only one place of issue but there were also first year riders trying to take KLR 650's up some steep hills...

Much o Fun!!!!

Next year for sure. Just a lack of funds lately. Great event with many riders in a great area.

I was on the "B" loop.
In on the first "hard option"
Quite a work out on the KLR, a 400cc would have been a good choice.
Althought, we kept passing the 400cc bikes.

In our group, KTM950, GS650 Dakar, DR650 and KLR650.

We had left for the Dead Zone the previous sunday.
2500kms, our last camping spot was north of Fort St, John.

What a beautiful province we live in!
Check it out via the back roads!

I did it and loved it.
Wiped out 4 times, all with a big grin on my face.
The temperature in Spences Bridge maxed out at 41.4 degrees that day.
Hot one indeed.

One year soon I am going to get up to the Dead Zone... looks like a blast. I think my first year I would stick to the "C" route... esp if I still have the KLR :laughing

So, how long did that poor fellow have to wait for an ambulance in the middle of nowhere?

Wow some of the deep mud and hills and creeks look so much worse than I remember......I guess I was lucky being first through some of the yuck...also I remember the mud sections....there was always a line around it...you just had to look for it...and having the guy that laid out most of it as my guide helped too...but that also was a negative since we added about 50 more kms to the ride looking for other trails,,,,but way fun. Heat sucked big. I was going to ride the Monkey Wrench next day but worked a check instead...ended up with heat stroke 2 days in extreem heat done me in...

Nice that some of you did the event...too bad we didnt get a chance to meet...
