We went to Mount Baker across the border, wasn't a great ride. Heres why.

Over all damage, lost a foot peg, and broken right turn signal

No idea what that was.

Minor scratches

A cliff that I almost fell off, this was the oncoming traffic side. I made a turn too wide and realized I was about to fall right off so I leaned the bike as much as I could and good news it that I didn't fall off or my bike. Best of all, I wasn't hurt and I rode my bike home!

good to see you didnt end up hurt. if you dont carry travel insurance consider this a free lesson as even a day stay down there can cost you more than you think.

Well, ICBC covers up to $150k for injury anyway, while it doesn't even buy a condo in Vancouver, the treatment in Bellingham or heli transport to Abbotsford shouldn't cost that much.

I was just up there yesterday as well... where and when did this happen? I don't remember seeing any accident aftermath... we crossed the border around 10:30 and were back at the border by 2:15...

ps. +1 on being careful, I also went up on tuesday and went down on one of the 15mph hairpins... no cliff... just a ditch and cliff face... neither of which I went into... no functional damage to bike... sliders took the brunt of it all...
