I have my simple canon a720 this year tied with a shoelace looped around my neck on my longer trips and camera hung under my jacket so it doesn't bang the tank. Or just stuck in my left pocket and loose. yes i dropped one once..thats why now the shoelace....I just pull it out and take em all left handed, point and shoot. I did try looking at the screen once and nearly went off a cliff..no more of that !
I did try a permanent mount once, but it sucked as I couldn't just point it where i wanted as I drove. Plus the hand makes a great vibration damper.

i am pretty sure that rain storm on 27th August is why my buddy and i had to cut our ride down to Wash and Idaho way short :(
