Hey fellow BCSB's!

Does anyone know a good shipping or transport company that can ship a motorcycle back East to Ottawa for a reasonable price?

Looks like I am being transferred back to Ottawa, the Big Boss wants me back.

All that down-sizing, restructuring bullshit!

Man, back to just six months of riding.

Any info would be much appreciated!

Cheers!

Back to Ottawa? Ahh, now I really feel sorry for you! I'll hold off teasing you then... like not suggesting you trade in your Ducati on a Honda so you could ride there.... that sort of thing...

I would like to buy a 400 cc sportbike, new or used. I found some website in Asia. Very very nice bikes, I had never seen before in Canada or US.
My questions- shipping, taxes, paperwork, inspection?

Thanks a million.

Allied van lines: http://www.brunolake.com/moto.htm

I got a quote from them when I was looking to ship an R6 here from Edmonton...I think it was like $300. :confused Anyways, they were very good to deal with...but in the end I didn't end up shipping the bike.

I provided them with my info in their on-line quote template.

Now just have to wait for their response.

Thanks!

No problem. :) They were really quick to get back to me when I dealt with them...like the next day or something. Keep in mind that they will only pick-up/drop-off from a commercial location (if I recall correctly) not a residential address. So they can pick it up from a mall near your house, and have it delivered to a dealership (or something) in Ottawa.

Got a response from Allied moto and they quoted me $560 to ship my Duc to Ottawa, way too cool!

That's an awesome price, considering I paid $887 to ship my SV650 to Vancouver from Ottawa almost two-years ago from another moving company.

Then again the company I work pays for it, so I don't really mind.

Since I work part-time at John Valk's I can get Allied Moto to pick it up there and then drop it off at the Ducati dealer in Ottawa.

Sweet!

Thanks again!
