Just wondering how fast people go around spanish banks? How fast at a relaxed pace vs aggressive. Just want to see how fast everyone goes to judge how slow I am. :( :( :(

Anything more than the speed limit is too fast.

When I used to live at UBC and when it was dead on the road I pushed about 100-120 coming up the hill from the beach and then braked hard into the first corner and gave her through the twisties:thumbup When traffic was around I did about 50-60

What time of day are we talking? Anything other than after dark, there is too much traffic to go much faster than posted speed. Road is too inconsistent to do anything anyways. A lot of little bumps and cracks. I've never been able to open it up on the hill. Have always encountered traffic.

I think Midnight R is talkin about after dark. He's a MRC kinda guy.

I've done this at daytime and night and scraping pegs on that little bunch of tight twisties is scary:D But that was on a CBR 600 which has low pegs. Did a ride at night last year with a few guys on the site and I punched it up the hill well beyond limit and into the first turn only to look up and see a RCMP cruiser parked out on a lawn. He flashed me his lights and I kept going. Turns out he was blocking a road because of filming and couldn't leave.
Unless you know this road really well I wouldn't go crazy on it. There a lot of potholes and bumps and the twisty part near the UBC Rosegarden isn't the place to learn how to scrape. That, and a ton of bicyclists who also share the road

That whole area is frequented by people training on road bicycles (myself included), so watch out, especially in the corners coming up the hill.

thanks for making me look good will :rolleyes
just for the record, it was an accident and i wasn't trying to go fast.
i find it's not worth trying to go anywhere "fast" at spanish banks... especially at night.

Way 2 many cops at that place. Don't take a chance, save it for the Mt. Seymore (I didn't really say that, did I?)
