Well, after 7 years safe riding I finally got hit...and right outside my driveway!

I recently moved to White Rock and was pulling out of my driveway onto one of the STEEP hills out here when I saw a minivan reversing UP the friggin street.

I honked to let him know I was right behind him and had nowhere to move....I guess the honk startled him because he floored it right into me...

Down I went trying to save the bike but because of the hill I had no footing and lost it.

He then proceeded to put it into gear and screeched off down the hill, leaving me with the bike pinning my leg.

What's worse is the scratches all over my fairing and pipe....

Call the lisence to cops, even partial, they can match the marks.

File your report with the cops but don't expect *anything* to come of it. Unless you were seriously injured they will do nothing at all with the report. Unless your hurt they only use the report for statistics.

My parking garage was broken into a few weeks ago. My truck and 4 other cars were broken into and I alone had a 1000.00 were of MC gear stolen. The cops didn't even come by to take a report in person. While placing the telephone report I asked what they would do with the report as I had blood (yup Aids or Hep C slime all over the inside of my truck) and they didn't care as they don't investigate property crimes.

the cops are usless if u got the plate or u would reconize the driver or the van u gotta take justice into your own hands its the only way these days ....just wear gloves so if u hit a tooth and u get there blood in u or something u wont catch some sort of disease u never know these days people have all kinds of weird shit!!!!

Hope you're okay and minimal damage to your bike. And I thought Richmond was bad.
WTF is it with these people? Taking off after they hit a person.

I never got the license as I was trying to get the bike off my leg.

I'm just going to keep my eyes open for the minivan because White Rock's a small place and word gets around.

crappy!!:(

hopefully you're ok though.

I'd like to know the outcome - I heard that in some instances as far as property damage goes you might be better off leaving it as a hit and run - without finding the guy

-- anybody heard of this is?
