How much passing on the shoulder do you do?
I don't pass on the left or right shoulder.. when traffic is slow or stopped but I've seen alot of guys do it (mostly harleys).
Anybody been ticketed for passing on the shoulder?

I will run down the bicycle/emergency lane on the bridge hill in Kelowna when it gets plugged. It's supposed to be emergency vehicles only but I can move in a hurry if I have to. Besides, I don't believe an ambulance could fit in that lane anyway.
The way I see it, ther's one less vehicle plugging the highway.
i rarely ever do it, but if it's really bad, as in not moving at all, or barely ever moves, then i'll occasionally do it. I avoid doing it if the cause of the traffic is due to a accident though.

I try my best not to do it, but that is also because of what crap lurks at the side of the road. I have got a flat tire once from doing that, but if traffic is really bad and its hot and the bike is heated up with the fan on then im doin it nuff said ;)

If it's backed up, like coming in from Langley to Surrey on Hwy 1, I'm down with the go-around. Sometimes on the East-West Connector too.
