My Dad is selling his 1986 Honda Prelude that he bought after his Integra was written off. He has since replaced the car with an RSX so this one's got to go!
Enough with the story, on with the details!!
1986 Honda Prelude
5 spd standard
Sunroof (works, no leaks)
1991 leather and cloth Civic SiR seats (He has a very bad back, stock seats can be swapped back in)
Little rust in the usual spots
Kenwood 6 disk CD player
300,000 kms
The car does not burn oil and still has a ton of compression. Clutch does not slip.
The car is in Qualicum Beach and my Dad has been driving it for the last 18 months. In that time he has put 60,000kms on the car. (he works in Port Alberni)
Due to the long commute, there are numerous new parts that were put in for reliability sake, as well the car is cheap to repair, list of repairs since purchased in February 2002:
New Head and Head gasket (head gasket went, valves were worn
New Radiator and thermostat
New alternator and Battery
One new Caliper, 2 new disks and new pads up front
new rear wheels cylinders and shoes
new timing belt
new 185/60/14 Dunlop SP 4000 tires (previous owner upgraded from 13 in rims)
New exhaust from the manifold back, including resonator and muffler
New spark plugs and plug wires, distributor cap and rotor
There is no one in our family that needs a car or else we would have given it away, car is in good shape, looks good and runs and handles great.
He is asking $3,000 or best offer, but he really just wants it off his driveway.
No reasonable offer refused
The car is insured so it can be test driven.
