I would like to know what kind of bike this is?

Is it a dirt bike with street tire?

And if it is, what size tire can you put on it?

it's a super motard , you're right a dirt bike with street tires.

there's about 3 or 4 guys on this board with one , wild FX is one of them.

That is Jumby from this board -- the bike is a Honda CR500 with a few extras. I am pretty sure that he runs 17" rims on it (i.e. he can run convensional race tires).

VanCityRider,
Whatever you do, don't try and outride one of these freaky machines....they turn on a dime.

That first pic is our own Jumby alrighty. And is it a hoot to watch him run or what?

You can do your own SM by getting a set of 17 inch rims laced to the MX hubs. If you really want to do it right then a better and larger disc on the front is a must.

Oh, and that's a CR500 Honda that has been worked on a little. His biggest problem is keeping the front end on the ground. The sessions on the weekend were a play time for him so he was kinda showing off.......... or maybe it was the big kid in him coming out......... :D

Are you sure that's a problem? :D It was great watching him run...kicking the back end completely sideways into a turn, sticking his heel out, then wheelying out of the exit...it was great.

Grok, bring your Husaberg over and play with jumby:D .

Don`t try to keep up with a supermotard through really twisty roads, its tough,eh Grok?.

If I was to get into racing then this is the class I would start with:) .

You should see if from right behind him. I've only had the chance to run with him at the same time at Saratoga and on the lunch time burn on Saturday. That back end is just sliding all over and smoking as he trail brakes into the corner and you would SWEAR that he's gonna go down. I can almost hang with him in the sweeper but then he just gasses it and squirts off into the distance............ <sigh>......... I have SO much to learn yet........

Thanks guys.

I like the look of this style bike.....

What does it cost to make one of theses hot bikes......

Also can you still ride it like a dirt bike, even with the sport tires on it?

:)

It would probably be wise to keep a spare set of rims with nobbies on them. You don't want to wreck a set of nice soft Pilot Sports in the dirt. Ever ride your bike along the shoulder where there's debris? Same deal.

That COWIE is a bit of a porker but would not be all that bad just for street use.
Find a XR 650R or some sorta 400cc look here to get an Idea>>>> http://membres.lycos.fr/sickestbikes/home.htm
My bike is in the mix of pix...:D

I'm no wild expert on this stuff just yet but the best ones seem to be based on motocross bikes. The bigger the better. The new 4 stroker MX bikes would ROCK. Headlights is a bit of an issue though. And just maybe the fact that the MX bikes aren't normally street legal so you may have to jump some hoops to get it plated.

Or you could just fix it up for track use like Jumby.....
