Hey all. SO I get home on Monday night at 10:30 ready to hit the hay and what do I find on my doorstep? Our Video. No problem, figure its like maybe 30 minutes. Holy sh*t........I'm up until 2am watching this thing.

Post up, I wanna know who was all in Bernie's group. Mark, I forgot what color/model bike you ride. To the chap in the red leathers, I think you had the best corners by the end of the day.

Giovanni (I don't even know if you are on this board.......cocky bugger, and Mark was saying I was a poser....Ha!)

What an amazing difference in pace between the first couple of sessions and the end of the day!

My RC51 looks Huuuuuuuuge compared the rest of the group.

We should all get together one night and toss some beers and watch this together I think.

I'll be watching my tape tonight, but I'd like to see how the other groups did too!

THat's the group Sherry was in too. She picked up quite a bit for the first part of the day but the braking drills were too much for her wrists that have been fighting off some carpal tunnel strain for quite a while and you guys probably noticed that her pace slowed down a lot after that. She even came in early for most of the afternoon sessions because her wrists were hurting.

She seems to be keen on taking the same course again next summer to pick up some more skill........... And she thinks her Beemer handles like a truck since riding the Red Rocket......... :D

BTW. Other than the silver Beemer (I think it was) Sherry was the only rider to pull a little stoppie in the braking excercise for your group........In fact she managed TWO of them........ :thumbup

That's ma gurl......... :)

TeeTee.........actually I managed 4 stoppies (my first) with the highest being about 2 feet. Great exercise in learning the limits of braking.

Sherry, while slower than the rest of our goup, was never intimidated and just kept at it........hats off to her.

The silver beemer belonged to Giovani from VROM.

I was with Scott's group, the guy that dropped off the tape said we had the best tape, good feedback on what my group was going right and wrong.

Yep by the afternoon was doing a lot better.Other than being cut off near the end of the day at the south side of the track.

The only disappointemnt I had with Group 2's tape is that for teh first half of the day, the rider in the frame was always tucked up in the upper right hand corner. In the hairpin you couldn't see them at all.........bummer

Hey CDG, did the video guy include some of the footage from when you asked him to setup at the right hand sweeper? I wanna see the cool poses that Mark said you were pulling in front of the camera :)

Wang - were you in my group? I can be such a dead head sometimes. What's Mark's nick name BTW?

and YES, Rob the newbie cameraman included about 30 minutes of footage from various fixed positions on the track. As for posing, I'd say the award goes to Giovani in my group, not me. When it felt like we were hanging it out in the corners, the video makes it look like we were going 20mph with out butts planted in the seat. Only caught some decent "Hanging Off" at the very end of the day.

Giovani was getting the bike way over by the end of the day. He's going to have to put sliders on his cylinder heads The cylinder heads of that beemer, that stick out the side, were getting pretty close to the pavement. :thumbup

Yeah CDG, I was in your group. SRAD GSX-R600 with multicoloured fairings (my race fairings).

I'm not sure what Mark's nickname is.

We totally have to get together and watch this thing! I wanna see if he caught me almost flipping my bike when my toe hit the floor!

Hehehe...But Mark's impression of you posing for the camera was priceless. I was laughing so hard I had to go to the bathroom (well...that and the fact that I drank a bottle of Gatorade after each track outing :P )

Well "Wang" (You think you could indicate your real name somewhere?) I am off to Cali tomorrow for four days to shop and break the bank on leathers and other nifty bits. Thinking of having a regular Tuesday night Bike night here at my place (Speed Channel). We can watch some of the footage then. Maybe the others in Group 2 would like to come too?

Now that I know your bike, I guess it wasnt your rear tire I was rubbing with my front in the long right hand sweeper?

Oh! One more thing. Posing aside, I can't even watch the first hour of the video because the angles make it look like we are freaking going at walking speed. Its only on the last session that we actually look like we are hanging it out.

I can't even remember what we did in the last session. I was afraid that I wouldn't get much video time because on one track outting I was only with the group at the very beginning, and at the very end (after passing the other group on the track and rejoining the group at the back) - This was when Bernie started to "drop back" as opposed to only letting one person in front at a time. And on the session right after, I did the same thing, except I only passed half of the people in the other group on the track - so I didn't even rejoin the group that time. (That's why I was asking Bernie whether it was ok to pass the other group). So I dunno...I'm probably in group 1 and group 3's video tape as much as our own :P.

I don't remember anyone rubbing my back tire...but if you did...BASTARD! :D Mark said he was really close to hitting me when he thought I was going to make a move to pass the fellow in the yellow CBR in the hairpin (I was actually going to do it, but I decided to wait until the sweeper to pass).

Steve - whose leathers are mostly red, yours or Mark's.
And it was definately Mark's rear tire that I rubbed with my front tire in the long right hand sweeper.

Hah! that's a sweet avatar Sewman! Getting that picture taken of you was probably worth $225 in itself!
