ipod remote

I have a remote for a ipod. I not sure with ones it will work with, I know it will not fit a 60gb video, that is what I bought it for and does not work for this unit. It is new in the box, only thing I did with it was tried to hook to my ipod video

I look on the apple site and this what it says: Compatible with all iPod models except iPod with video, iPod nano and iPod shuffle.

I hope this helps.
