Cruiser meets minivan, Arbutus and W. 12th

Cruiser meets minivan, Arbutus and W. 12th, just happened (~7:00 a.m. Saturday). Hard to say what happened, heard the impact while in my kitchen, I didn't hear any brakes but others said they did, cops were there within seconds, rider was conscious but in pain. Bike laying in middle of intersection, van off at an angle with whole left side messed up. Rider had been wearing a beenie helmet, jeans and a shirt. Sucky way to start your weekend.

there was a big accident just south of that at arbutus/king ed last night...i dont think it involved a bike but the car that got hit flipped and caught fire with the driver still inside...i didnt see the accident itself but we saw all the shattered glass and objects that flew out of the car after the tow trucks took them away..i work just down the street and ppl that came in were talking about it
