Heyo, we just did another little trip to Tofino.

We had no idea where we were planning to go this weekend so it was a bit of a last minute trip. So, inspired by Charles' testimony on how Tofino was losing money this weekend due to the water shortage, Savannah and I packed out bags (and a 3L camelbak and headed west.

Stop one was a nice little speeding ticket in the fucking construction zone. 92 in a 50 zone... what a bunch of bullshit. But I took that as a sign, don't speed in town.

On the way west there weren't many opps for photos and you can check my gallery to see the rest, but here are some of the highlights.

I'd also like to mention that during this trip I scraped my pipe and broke my frame mount and thanks to that I get a new warranty frame!

Time to get Crass to draft me up some new ideas for paint! Looks like I can do a full custom paint job now!

Looks like fun. Some of my best riding is when I was 2uping my girl. Makes me jealous seeing such nice pics. If I ever get money for a bike, you can bet on me doing many trips on the weekends.

Fight that ticket.

to dispute a ticket you have to go to where it was issued, which is a pain in the ass

You scraped the pipe and the frame broke!!!!!
I know some people that would have a field day with that comment...:evilgrin
And I was thinking that I would really like a Multistrada.... but now I don't know so much, what would happen if I dragged saddlebags.

Only the frame broke? I'm surprised the whole shebang didn't explode....looks like you had endless opportunities for "Ducatisti Poseur-ing", eh Scott. BTW I saw you sneak on the 3 PM ferry at the last minute. I was caging it back from Hornby Island, and was cursing whilst roasting in the lineup.

Upon further inspection it was the speedbump that may have done her in.

I think the pipe dragging came AFTER the frame mount snapped.

I love how guys like to jump all over ducati.. when the truth is I've had less problems with this bike over the Honda's.

HEHE, I love sneaking past everyone on the ferry! ;)

Also, I'll post pics to show you guys exactly what happened. Not really a big deal. Just a mount at the back where there's a thin piece of metal for the exhaust hanger.

Basically, it ends up that I get a new frame... and can finally do my custom paint job!

Duc's are junk, everybody should sell theirs now!!!!
Anybody got a 888 SPO an 851 or another SS for cheap?
Sell them to me now and be rid of the shame.
Funny thing is if my frame cracks....which has been known to happen.
They will replace it free on a 12 year old bike. but ya they suck.
haha.

Oh yeah, laugh away Phil. ;)

We'll see how Ducati handles the problem. That'll be a REAL test of the manufacturer.

John Valk's already gonna have me in today and we'll check it out.

Honda doesn't need to replace frames cuz they don't break when you drive over speedbumps.

Broken frame or not it's still a wicked bike.

That's a nice ride, I used to live in Port Alberni.

Now you can use the line "My girlfriend asked me to kiss her where it smells so I took her to Port Alberni"
