This road goes from Lillooet a bit northeast to the Cache Creek Junction. Some nice views, from an up high lookout near Pavilion.

Here's a bunch of lost tourists we encountered.
In the bottom photo, the one in blue was trying to figure out how to sit on a motorcycle.

Have they paved any more road from the junction since last summer? I hit that road just after the lines were painted on, that new road looked like something out of a commercial. Then it ended 25km on and I crashed into the first pothole that was about 3 feet deep.

OK, not the fastest. And only sort of cool ... to some people. Well not too many. OK, just me. :D
My group was kind enough to make me feel important by letting me ride sweep, anyway.

It's all good now pretty much the whole length if my memory serves me well (someone feel free to clarify/correct). There were a few minor bumps here and there nothing else.
I didn't see any 3 foot potholes, or bikes at the bottom of any.

Earlier, at Pemberton.
Dudette trying to put on her helmet. Notice how she pushes using both legs.
Bacchus going for a cool drink of refreshing gasoline.
Pylon showing off his new disco moves to SilverD.

Pretty good day today after a minor rock slide delay on the S2S (as if that made any difference to the flow of traffic), and a wet start until Pemberton.
Thanks for the ride guys and gal.

Sorry Michael, I don't organize these things I just show up and hope not to get kicked out of the group before the day's end.
You should've kept going north after Pemberton. Was it dry by the time you got there? We were in Pemby by about 8:20 a.m. The Duffy was on/off wet/dry, mostly dry though without any actual rainfall. By the time we arrived in Lillooet it was full blown summer.

OMG. Never mind... LOL. I led the moderate group on the posted ride today. We didn't get up to Pemby till late in the day... 4:30 or so? Weather was awesome all the way up and back. Strangely, my leathers were still damp from the thunderstorm I rode through last Sunday on the way back from Winthrop. It wasn't the most comfortable experience I've had...

I like the bar-end mirrors Steve, and I don't remember the rear Ohlins before?
I should be able to join you in a couple of weeks.... of course, on the KLR I will have no choice but to ride sweep :p

Thanks Tony.
You're welcome to join in on a ride anytime, don't care what you ride. I have a compass you can borrow in case you get left too far behind. :evilgrin

You guys keep getting it wrong, you have to sweep "in front" of the bikes....

Good ride and great pics Steve. Day turned out to be prefect after we got to Lilooet. Definetly worth putting up with the wet roads in the morning.
Lesson learned on my part: keep away from sand in turns. If the road is wet and you can't see the sand: come equipped with a steering dampener. If all elese fails go to the rodeo and learn to handle a bull to get you prepared ahead of time.
