Uggh.
Before you read anymore of this post. Know that I just got back from getting some work done to my bike, and I'm pissed off enough that I had to come home, and rant.
So I just got my bike back yesterday from, well, that place on commercial lets just say. It was bad enough that the reg/rec and oil change (crappy oil) cost $505. I can deal with that.
But I notice this morning that some fairing screws are missing under my right handlebar....ugh. So I rush back after work today to the shop and tell them.
So right away, the big receptionist guy is all like 'well maybe they weren't there in the first place' to his buddy on the side with me standing right there, trying to make me look like a jerk off, but I gave him a look showing that I was serious.
We get out back, with a young mechanic and he's explaining that he didn't take it off...I mean I believe him, but when I picked up my bike yesterday to take it home, an even younger guy lead me to the garage, opened it up, then saw somebody's mini bike in there and said 'OH I'm gonna play with this!!' and pulls it out right in front of me to start riding it around...he couldn't get it started but that's another story...just showing me the quality of the employee's that work there.
So the receptionist dude comes out to check in like he knows what the hell he's doing, and says something to the point of 'oh well it's not like I'm calling you an asshole if it's our fault'...I said 'did you just call me an asshole??' and I could f***ing believe he just said that. Maybe not the exact words but I knew what he was doing. Then he walks away after planting some dipsh*t discreet comment.
The mechanic couldn't find any matching screws so he puts in some Phillip ones instead of the torque ones on the other side...
uggggh.
Just because I don't fix certain problems on my bike, doesn't mean I don't know the fine details of my bike. The screws were fricken there.
Now they'll lose a customer because their customer service was jack shit.
Morale of the story - Don't go to the closest shop around when you need work done.
Thanks for listening,
