Yes, I know we missed Green mtn... but we had things to do. ;)

It was an interesting ride out. Rained all the way to Boston Bar, and then was more or less clear and cloudy to Merrit...
The road through Spences Bridge was pretty good except for the gravel in the corners, this is what it looked like Saturday afternoon.

This is what it looked like leaving Merrit

It only got worse... we don't have pics of it, but it went from mist to rain to sleet to hail to snow... Not fun

Riding into Peachland was like going to a new world.. 18 degrees and sunny, we dried up right away. Here is White Lake road, beautiful, but pavement quality was so-so.

I don't have pics of the hotel yet but they're on Phil's camera... this is a taste of how nice it was. ;)

Sunday was beautiful. 24 in Osoyoos. I was having clutch problems (typical Ducati ;)) so we skipped Green Mtn and headed home.

Old Hedley Rd. was fun, but there was a lot of Gravel in the corners as well. A couple rock slides ruined what could have been a lot of fun.

Manning Park, a little cold at times, but the heated vests cured that. Not much traffic except for the police (who insisted on flashing us doing 110 in the 80kmh passing zone even though there were rusted out minivans flying by the speed trap doing 130 :surrender ), semi's in the corners of course and the crazy Minivans that do 130 in the straights and 30 in the corners.

Good trip, but I wouldn't want to do 97c again in that weather and as always, the vancouver - hope trip ruins everything. Next time we're riding through the cascades.

Green Mountain isn't what it used to be. Too much of the pavement is deteriorating and it isn't going to be repaired anytime soon. As usual the roads of the US are ruining BC highways one at a time :laughing
I wanted to go somewhere this past weekend... but I am glad I didn't! Thanks jscotty!

I almost passed out Hope - Vancouver from heat exhaustion. Really terrible ride. Definitely do the Cascades. I love the fact the state shuts the hwy's down in the winter so that trucks can't use chains over the roads. It's like a track. Just like butter.
This trip of yours is exactly what I wanna do this summer. I'd be doing it on a KTM Duke II though, 2up. I don't think I could ride the 748 for more than 30 mins without breaking my back. Never mind with a passenger.
How'd you feel 2up on the Monster? Seems like it wouldn't be too bad other than the wind.

Honestly, I really don't know any better. I just ride this thing doubled up all the time. It's by no means perfect and I WILL one day end up getting a multistrada or a GS1200. My GF isn't enjoying it as much as she used to as it's becoming a nuisance to ride this thing for 600-800km days.
Handling is great 2-up as anyone I've ridden with can attest to, but that's largely due to the fact I have a great passenger.

Nice report.
Suggestion for the drone in from Hope.
Hang a left anywhere just past Chilliwack, take the back roads to Sumas then 0 or 16th to Hwy 99 ....
The speedbumps on 0 can be fun..

Rock the Multi!
Although I may have gotten a GS1200 if I wasn't being poor. :laughing
Nice ride! We have our first long trip planned finally, May 21st-28th down to San Fran via the west coast, staying in San Fran for 2 days then coming up through the interior. I'll let you know how the Multi does. Should have my Panniers and everything before as well, which should help.
Although we're not gonna be staying in the Charles Fisslebottom's Rich for life, Facial Spa and Rock Climbing Resort.
:laughing
Don't hurt me... @__@

Whoa you three don't pack much luggage. What do you do when the laundry gets nasty, exchange clothes with each other?

That rack seems to do the job pretty good.
Mine should be in this coming week-end.
Any rattling or stuff coming loose over the length of your week-end?
I see a kayak bag. So you did not buy there 51L bag then ?
Where did you stay in Osoyoos?
Hope to Vancouver is the real pain for sure. I agree with Silver D. Chilliwack turn left and get out of there. However since you are coming back from a long trip you generally just want to get home ASAP.

Nothing is loose, it did well. I didn't buy their bags as I have a bunch of these waterproof ones I can stuff tents/sleeping bags/clothes into.
walnutbeachresort.com awesome hotel. ;)

Nope, she may get her license, but she's not really interested in riding.

Man, 2up on a monster - hardcore. can't do too many days with a passenger though. BC roads are looking pretty bad these days. sad to see our tax dollars NOT at work out there.
Thanks for the report

We're actually blessed with the roads here. I'm originally from Montreal, and Quebec roads are horrendous. Spend most the time dodging massive potholes.
It's a pity, because there are some really scenic rides there as well...
