Well, this long weekend,
I decided to go riding in the USA.
Riding like an A**hole down highway 9, there comes a nice stretch
south of ACME, I decide to slow down as I know that's where speed traps usually are and I guess I did not slow down enough.
68 mph in a 50. (equivalent to 110kph in a 80 zone)
Total cost: $93
What a bargain compared to the BC fines.
I was looking at his cheat chart regarding fines and they get more expensive the faster you go.
The top fine is $441 for going 40 + mph over. So my take on this is,
It is still cheaper if you get caught in Washington states than in BC.
The second line on the back of the "notice of infraction" it says:
"This is a non-criminal offense for which you cannot go to jail"
.....and gas is cheaper too
