    Results- Comox Dyno Day

Yesterday I was at Pacific Coast Powersports for the grand opening-annual Dyno day. I asked Mike from M.A.S Dyno to come out and we had a blast. Tons of prizes given out and a battle to the end. First Dyno run had an 07 GSXR 1000 pounding out a 157.4. Dean Thompson (WMRC#62) put his new R1 race bike on the platform and pulled a 151.....well the battle was on all day.

Some memorable ones....and not so hot...

    DR400sm 33hp
    RD350 44hp
    Shadow 750 46hp
04 GSXR 1000 with no muffler (FACK was it loud!) 161hp it was re-run an hour later and could only produce 144 (Probably a spike reading)
    BMW 1200 136hp
    F2 race bike 64hp
    84 cb750 supersport 50hp

So on to the battle of the R1 and the GSXR. Dean tried fuel, settings, powercomanders but couldn't quite get it over 157.

It's in Courtenay on the border of Comox. Dan, Luc and Rich opened the shop a few months ago. Real nice guys (I believe they're all aircraft mechanics at the base) and they want to do this when they retire......although they're doing very well with it now. Those aircraft guys sure know how to safety wire! Next year tey're holding it at the fair grounds. We even had the radio station out. It was cooll to see the Harleys arrive to challenge.
