    Old helmets

    So a got a helmet that I crashed in taking up room in storage. Is there a proper way of dispose or recycling it. It's a AC12 carbon.
    A bad day of riding is, still better than a good day of work.

    It's not like it's 5L of oil. Just toss it. Or use it for go-karting.

    Drill a few big holes in it and toss it. Helmets are good for one good impact then they are basically junk. If you are unsure of the level of damage necessary to toast a helmet then see a Rep' at your local shop. I'd never wear one after it had been involved in a hard crash. By drilling it you make sure it never gets used again by anyone.
