I'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to be safe out there in the sunshine. Here's some simple tips I've picked up over the many years that I think can be valuable to everyone.
1) All your gear, including reflective safety vests, at all times. If you're changing your oil, better put on the race leathers just to be safe. The only reason I don't wear gear sometimes is to serve as a reminder to the rest of you about how dangerous is can be!
2) Please drive the speed limit, everywhere, always. Speed kills guys.
3) Obey all rules of the road. The shoulder or crack in traffic wasn't designed for you to be driving on. Let's use our common sense out there guys!
4) Turn signals. You've got hands, why not use them too? A flashing light AND your hand signal is going to be twice as safe.
And finally, for those who are totally safety oriented and are willing to go the extra mile, just go ahead and park the bike for the summer. It's really the safest option.
