Hi there I have a question about ICBC insurance.
I recently went to different autoplan brokers to get a quote for possible bikes I might buy and it seems it doesnt even matter what model/type of bike you buy (ie cruiser vs touring vs sportbike). Is this right? The only thing they seem to look at is the displacement which doesnt really make any sense to me because Im looking at buying an SV650 which has a bigger engine (by ccs) than a 600 crotch rocket but way less hp. Anyways I got quoted some ridiculously high number like 2800-3050$ for the whole year with 500,000 liability. Also the broker told me that my 15% discount from 3 years of driving doesnt apply to insurance for motorcycles? Does this sound correct or did they fuck up the quote (which i hear is quite often). Anyways they didnt even ask me what bike I was going to insure which seems odd. Can anyone enlighten me, thanks.
edit: I forgot to add in the quote was 300$ comprehensive and 300$ collision with a dv of 8000$.
