I received a letter from the West Vancouver Detachment of the RCMP today in the mail detailing three separate offenses that were reported in via cell phone. Apparently, I was alledged to have been speeding, crossing double yellow lines and driving without due care.
So, my advice to all you who alledgedly occasionally practice this sorta thing is to make sure there is plenty of room between you and the last car you passed so that (s)he has no chance of reading your plate without digging through his/her glovebox for binos.
By the way, I am a pretty cautious rider, and never have I attempted to cut off a fellow motorist in order to make it back into the lane after a dangerous pass. But I bet these are the same cagers that have no idea what the left lane is for and go slow in them only to speed up after moving over to the right lane as you're trying to pass 'em safely.
At any rate, the letter is merely a warning and will in no way be of any record, points or otherwise. So, 'em.
