Former World MotorCross Champion and SuperCross star Jean-Michel Bayle tested the Corona Extra Suzuki Motard DRZ 450 SuperMotard development machine at the Streets Of Willow Springs.
Jet-lag after traveling to California from France for the test did not slow Bayle at all. After a short set-up and adjustment period by Corona Extra Suzuki Motard specialist Dana DeMambro, Bayle was quickly flying around the 1.5 mile track and treating the assembled press and spectators to a stunning display of throttle control and tail-out riding. On his third session, Bayle was circulating at times that would have put him ahead of the field on the last 600 class race! Indeed, the bike was able to equal lap times achieved last week by roadracing editors on the 2003 Yamaha R6!
After spending all day testing, Bayle declared the bike a winner and is looking forward to riding it in competition in 2003.
