    04-05 CBR1000RR STATOR failures

FYI anyone experiencing charging problems on their CBR1000RR contact Honda because they are warranting the STATOR and regulators.

According to the information I read if you ride at a low RPM range for an extended period of time this will cause the ACG to over heat which will short the stator winding, resulting in insufficient battery charge.

I just experienced a break down after a 2 day, 1200km ride. However I wasn't riding at low RPM's so possibly any extended riding will cause overheating. At any rate Honda has confirmed that they will replace the stator this week apparently with upgraded parts.

    GO Honda
