Last night there was a bit of thunder and lightening not much. Woke up at 2am to some flashing going on outside. I ran up stairs to get a better view and quickly ran inside from the intensity of the bolts coming down a few kms away. I love a good lightening show but when these bolts came down I ran back inside like a scared little girl. Looking out again I could still see the bolt when I closed my eyes. By the time I got my camera and tripod ready the storm moved away but I still took some decent shots. The storm moved out of my vision so I went back to bed. The storm was still going. I awoke again at 530am. The storm was back at it's original position. I took a video this time but missed most of the show by the time I got the camera setup. I captured one good bolt and the loudest thunder I have ever heard. If I can size the video down I will post it too.
I wish we would get more of lightening storms, they are REALLY impressive. Anyone else get any shots? These are the toughest shots to get because you just dont know when, where, or how bright it is going to be. I took about 100 shots and these were the only ones worth posting.
