I had my first crack at camping on a bike a couple weekends ago and loved it, but could definitely see if I were to continue doing it I would want some upgrades, ie luggage and other things that are bike specific.
My bike is now at roughly 50000km, (changed sprocket sizes at 35000 so i'm guessing on total K's), so I'm wondering, if i take normal care of my bike, what kind oh mileage i can expect to get before it craps out. What are the normal intervals for engine rebuilds, clutch, the major things.
I ride probably close to 15000km a year, actually probably closer to 20000, as it is my only means of transportation other than the bus in the winter. I do not stunt or race the thing, i don't kill the throttle, by no means do i baby it, but the front wheel rarely leaves the ground.
I ask because I don't want to be dropping money on a bike that will be at 100 000km's in 3-4 years if i keep riding the way i do, especially since it is bike specific stuff, I guess I ask also out of interest cuz it seems no sportsbike seems to last past 50000km before it gets written off
(I know that last statement isn't true, don't worry, I bought my first bike with 70000km)
