Bought forks of a dude on Stuntlife. When they arrived today I had to pay $126 duty. He said that he will mark them as a gift with a declared value of $0. The reason for the duty is that someone decided to declare the value for them at $1014. It was either the dude off whom I bought the forks (sent an email wondering why he'd do that) or it's the CBSA who decided on the value. I paid $250 for them TOTAL (including shipping). I am trying to contact the CSBA to find out how to get my money back and the reason for the assessed value.
