I know this topic has been covered a few times before and yes I can find them using the search, but that is not what this is about. I think we are fast approaching a new era in natural gas prices.... There is speculation of some serious price increases over and above the most recent increase of 18% I believe...
So I had a guy from Summit Energy stop by and I looked into things a bit and it seems the rate they are quoting me is about 1.00/10% or so more then my current rate per gigajoule.
So here is my question, at the rate things are going we may see an increase equivalent to the rate I am being quoted now within the next 6 months. Is it now actually wise to lock this rate in for the next 5 years and stop shoeing them away from my door.
I have a feeling home energy costs are going to fast become a HOT topic. I predict some pretty ridiculous increases very very soon.
Thoughts? Has anyone locked in? What is your experience with it.
(Yes I know you still pay Terrason for delivery.)
