I have a 2 week trip planned for the beginning of September, the daylight hours may not be as long (especially in the east of the timezone) but I have been extremely lucky with the weather for the past couple of years doing this.
I'm going to dip down and do highway 20 across the border and then zip around in a few loops near Nighthawk and that area, I may also snoop around towards the southern half of the Selkirk Loop.
My question is this: Is it worth me timing my tires so that I get a new pair of shoes spooned on somewhere across the border? Are the prices bound to be better than here when labour and all is considered? And if so, should I try to arrange this ahead of time or can I expect that any decent sized town will have a shop with, say, a set of Pilot Powers in my size? Can anyone suggest a shop somewhere out that way if it is worth going this route?
