hey guys, i'm new to the biking community, and finally getting started on a bike i guess..
i got my learners the other day, and i was thinking of just learning from a buddy of mine, but the schedule and everything doesn't seem to be working out..
so, i decided maybe taking an actual course might be a better idea..
my original idea was to just learn enough to pass the skills and road test, and take lessons next summer or something when i actually buy myself a bike, i got to toronto for school and i'm only back during the summer, so really no point in buying a bike now mid-season and leaving it all winter..
but, might as well start off on the right path?
here's the thing, i'm a student, so budget's pretty tight, but don't worry, when i get a bike i'll be focusing mostly on gear and safety, read some stories on here while lurking around, and well.. safety first.. haha.
so here's my question.
i know PRS is $745, and i've heard a lot of good about them..
i've searched through the forum, and the icbc website.. can't seem to find a list of other riding schools around..
are there any other ones that are good?
are there any other ones that are cheaper?
also, i'm in coquitlam area, so i don't wanna have to drive out an hour for lessons and whatnot..
right now i'm just focusing on getting started and passing the tests, i'll think about bike and all that later on..
any help's appreciated guys, thanks!
