50,000kms is not bad. Provided the owner has been good on maintenance. If its been tracked for 50,000 than yah I'd be a little worried.
Carb .vs. Fuel injected.. Not necessarily a bad thing to have carbs. Require a tad more maintenance. Generally you'll get a little bit better fuel economy out of fuel injected, but not an insane amount.
some 98's were injected. rain is no biggy to a bike contrary to what some people think. requires a bit more lubing and cleaning after the rain but doesn't melt anything.
If it's a track bike with 50000k then stay away. If it's a well looked after bike with proof of maintenance, it's nothing. My F4i has 45000k on it, and it runs like new. It's all about how you look after it.
As for riding in the rain, contrary to popular belief in BC, motorcycles are NOT water soluble.
