So I am riding up to Whistler last Fri, and I go haulin' up the Furry Creek passing lane at around 120k. Pass a few road obstacles(ie slow ass traffic) and catch up to some heavier traffic. I kinda hang out and keep her at around 110-115 in the left lane, slowly overtaking traffic. Come around the last corner before the end of the passing lane, and the radar detector goes ballistic. Hard on the brakes, and now I am being passed by a minivan in the right lane.
So as we crest the last little hill, there is a cop on the shoulder just at the merge lane. He starts rolling a little as we approach, and I am still in the left lane because there is traffic in the right. And he hits the lights as we pass. I KNOW he did NOT get me with his radar, so i keep going.
Well, pulls out and pulls me over anyways. I keep my mouth shut and just grab my papers and hear him out. Lecture about road safety, how many people do I know killed on this highway, it's a killer highway etc etc.
And he continues with a "this is just a warning", so I figure I will just be polite and be on my way. Then he goes and says he clocked me at 124 in an 80, but He's a nice guy so he is going to let me go. Bullshit.
I never hit 124. Period.
I might not hate cops, but I hate some of the people who are cops.
