Name that noise! Also: Scotts Perf Billet Oil Filter q.
1 - The backfire noise. When I lay off the throttle, and the bike's revs drop, once it crosses the 6K mark I get this pop noise. What causes that? I'm guessing it's normal, but can it be harmful? Is it a byproduct of an aftermarket pipe? EXUP? WTFUP?
2 - does anyone have experience with billet oil filter like these?
Is there any advantage to these, other than reusability?
Not wearing pants.
1. Backfiring is from the AIS for emissions, its normal.
2. The Scotts filter is great if you're a racer and changing your oil every weekend, but otherwise its not useful, as the purpose of it is to save money in the long run from buying filters all the time. If you look at the cost of it versus buying filters, it doesn't make sense for a strteetbike that has its oil changed every 4000 km's.
