So I took on a project to install HID and some Angel Eyes on to my bike and I thought I'd share the pics.
Other then I small mishap that ended up melting my RamAir mount, everything went smoothly. Enjoy!
First I Made the Angel Eyes.
Ended Up making 3 of these. 1 Larger one for the center eye and 2 smaller ones.
It yer wondering what bike this is for. It's a 08 Gixxer 600.
Tested it first of course.
The HID kit i ordered. Has a slim ballast for easy hide and go seek.
Took of the headlight assy.
Wore it and claimed my victory over the motorcycle gods.
Front End of the Bike
Just the Lamp Assy.
Removed the clear plastic housing. This is wear I ran into trouble. Baked it a bit too long cause
I got distracted. Ended up melting the two RamAir plastic mount pins. There goes the warrenty! :P
Oh well, I little welding of plastic and all fixed. Lesson learned and it still worked no problems so whatever!
BTW, if yer interested to know how much a new Lamp Assy is, a Suzuki
dealer will charge yah about $750. YaooooozaH!
Mounted the Angel Eyes. I used some high grade silicon with stickness (technical term).
I prefer silicon because you can take it of it you really need to and it holds better in vibrating situations.
Also its nice and clear. Another option could be some JB Weld. It would hold really
well but its an ugly grey and good luck removing it.
