I could use some help with diagnosis.
Recently bought 97 GSXR 750 (37 000 kms). Ran buttery smooth for 2 weeks. I took a ride up to Penticton and back, then noticed noticed a fair amount of carbon deposit on the can tip. Next morning on the ride to work, the idle varies a little (1000 to 1300) at the stop light but revs freely with no hangs or dips. Off idle, however, as I start to let the clutch out and put the engine under load it bogs and chugs. It the issue totally clears up by 4000 rpm and runs smooth on up. The dude I bought the bike off said it had just had a tune up and the mechanic vouched.
I have cleaned my air filter and replaced the spark plugs. The removed plugs were a little wet and black in colour. It has a yosh can and k&N air filter. I don't know if it was jetted.
So if anyone can point me in the right direction? What should I do next?
Thanks for your help! It's great to find you guys.
