    Headlight replacement bulbs.

I have a 92 CBR 600f2. The headlamp uses an H4 JA12V60/55W bulb. Is there any difference from an H4 bulb for your car?

Nope. Any H4 or 9003 bulb will work. The JA12V60/55W means it's a 12 volt bulb that draws 55 watts on low beam and 60 watts on high beam.

same bulbs, just have to worry about premature burnout. If you get the silverstars from Canadian tire, they might still have the one year warranty. If they burn out you just bring them back to the store and they will replace them for you without any questions. Haven't had to pay for bulbs for the last couple of years.

Or you could ge HID's which seem to last forever, even with me covering 20000+ k a year.

    Silverstar H4

I picked up a pair of Silverstar 9006 last week at Super Wal-Mart for my van across the border for $38.99 US. They definitely are brigher and whiter. Nearly as bright and white as the HIDs on my Mazda 3. But regarding my CBR I went price checking and Canadian Tire wanted $26 for one bulb. I decided to hold off. I'm glad I did cuz at Superstore on Marine they were clearing out some OLD Silverstar 9003/H4 stock for $11.99 on their downsized auto section. I mean old because they had a free GPS contest on the package that end June 2005! I took the chance installed them on the CBR and went out for a spin last night and they worked fine.

I definitely got my moneys worth even though I paid more at Canadian tire b/c they give a 1 yr warranty to replace them free if they burn out before the time is up. Just make sure you keep the receipt
