Man I love all that techno talk!
Who is the voice?
When speeding run from the cops, it's a lesser infraction.
To steal a line from Top Gun....
Hollywood to Wolfman "Man, this is giving me a hard-on",
to which Wolfman replies, "Stop teasing me."
That is what this video brings to mind.
Internal corporate video bullshit. Did they show that shit to the dealers in Monterrey or wherever they did the public announcement for the '09 R1? Yamaha give your head a fucking shake. Fish GIVE YOUR HEAD a SHAKE for linking that SHIT.
Haha! Why don't they just say: "For the 2009 model, we've reduced the inertia of the crankshaft". Throw away the flywheel while you're at it. Inertial torque! Do you think the marketing department had anything to do with that?
Mind you it is Yamaha... they are known for their outrageous claims. Maybe the supercrankshaft in the 2009 R1 allows it to rev to 22,000 RPM.
That video looked like it came out of 1979. Reminds me of the movie TRON. I bet the bikes on TRON had those fancy crankshafts.
"Happy New Ear!" - Mike Tyson.
Very much looking forward to seeing it in action (and fingers crossed for a press launch invitation, though I suspect I won't be the lucky one... )
"When in doubt, FLAT OUT!"
Seems like whoever made that video was getting paid by the word. With extra bonus dollars awarded everytime they said "torque".
Some people are like Slinkies ...
Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

So how about that new R1 engine?
"It's really fast like the last one, only a bit more so"
and there you go :P
that's actually not a marketing video... it's a press launch video created to explain the firing order and operation of the engine - the same system used in their GP bike...
of course, this is EXACTLY why I love BCSB - the site is full of people who know very little about motorcycles - easily demonstrated when they are provided with technical information directly from the engineering department of an OEM and they a)dont understand it b) think it's fake and c) go on about marketing.
I do ask one thing.. .please keep being yourselves... it is WHY I keep coming back to this site...
