Hey, I was hoping to get an opinion or two. Other than riding a street bike a few miles, I really don't have that much experience on them. I rode and raced motocross for years though. So I am looking at getting a bike, but don't want to spend too much cash and get something shiny when chances are it's gonna be scratched up when I'm done.
So I found 2 pretty different bikes close to me and fairly cheap, but not knowing much about them, other than reading specs, I wanted to see what you guys thought, and see if it was one sided or a toss up.
The first one is a 1985 Suzuki GSXR750. And the other one is a 1994 Honda CBR600.
I know that I am probably only going to use the bike for maybe one season and once I am used to riding, I will get something more of what I am looking for, when I know exactly what that is. So I have to consider resale as well. Part of me wants to go with he newer Honda for resale and parts availability and being a smaller engine. But the Suzuki is cheaper and pretty fun to ride from what I hear. I think they make near the same power, so I wasn't too concerned really about that.
Anyway, hopefully someone can add something to this.
