So I'm told I should get life insurance because I'm getting older. (23)
Tell me a little about life insurance before I go talk to a sales person..
How much does one need. I'm not married, no kids, I own a condo thats under 200k, car is paid for, no debt as of now,
people tell me to plan for the future when investing in life insurance.. 'get as much as you think you will need in the future, down the road when you own a bigger house, have a wife and kids..' but I figure, why pay for it now when I don't have any.. I know life insurance gets more expensive as you get older, and its hard to guess how much the rates will go up when I go to insure myself when I'm older.. so what the heck should I do? how much would you start with, why would you even get life insurance before you're married, have kids, or own a huge house. for the sake of the rates being lower, saving you money in the long run?
what kind of life insurance would you get? term or permanent insurance? how long of a term would you get, 10 years? 20 years..
