I don't know if that particular one is heavily modified for drag, but I sort of doubt it is.
A Stock GTR will kick the crap out of production cars 2 and 3 times its own price around the track and it will do it with your grandmother driving it. Amazing electronics in that car.

Uh I think you have the Ultima GTR seen here mixed up with Nissans GTR. The GTR you see here is a kit car. Thats right a kit car. You choose what ever power plant you want for the car (Even though Ultima Have laid out the chasis for a Chevy V8). I've seen them with BMW V10s Lexus V8s like this one. Porsche flat sixs. The beauty of this car is it's a purists car. No electronic trickery of any kind. For someone who is REALLY into cars what could be better. You buy the Ultima GTR for $80000 (no engine or trans) It gets shipped to you in a giant box and you build it yourself and you stuff what ever form of power and trans you want into the thing.
I'm a huge fan but I don't have a garage big enough nor the time to do this. Maybe later on in life. You can buy the car fully ready to go in the states now but what would be the fun in that?

Right, Evo tested the GTR against some heavy competition, including the GT3, R8 and Corvette Z06. The Nissan handily beat them all in a variety of situations. Variations of the Ultima have done some pretty insane lap times at the Nordschleife.

looks like hennesey will have to find some more hp out of his twin turbo viper! i think a t.t. viper has cracked the texas mile in like 21 or so seconds at just under 220mph
