Insurance is up on my Gixxer tonight at midnight. As a last blast for the season, I decided to take a little afternoon ride around the back roads of Fort Langley. Stopped at Crappy Tire for some Stabil today, just before I got home.
I've never been a big fan of riding in the cold and the rain before, but I gotta say, I really didn't mind it today. I didn't melt, and either did my bike! Shocking, eh? Even with rain pants only, and my perforated leather jacket(with fleece layer underneath), I was warm, and dry. Maybe its because I'm old and fat now, I dunno.
Bottom line is, I think I'm gonna shop some more appropriate winter gear, and insure my bike year round. Anyone got suggestions for good winter gear? Do you wear windbreaker style rain gear, over your leather? Or buy water proof, textile stuff?
