Well, I have leather boots I wear, but not riding specific...planning on buying some at the Seattle bike show in Dec for sure!
that's why i have 3 pairs of sidi boots fokkers
THE MOST DANGEROUS PART OF A BIKE, IS THE NUT THAT CONNECTS THE SEAT, TO THE HANDLEBARS.
I have a 3"inch scar on my ankle from not wearing boots
Now I dont ride without them
Bah..Just a flesh wound.....
Just because the monkey has a nose bleed, does not mean you shut down the whole circus! Ride on!!
put a band-aid on it, itll heal.
oh damn thats nasty
so glad i have my Sidi's

that just hurtssssssssssssssss
If jack helped you off a horse would you help jack off a horse??
You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
First off let me say that I enjoy walking, and don't like the thought of seeing a compound fracture firsthand...I'm gonna be buying a pair of boots (well actually waiting for christmas to roll around), been reading up on boots for the past week, most reviews of the sidi's are good(Strada Evo, Vertigos, leaning towards the B2s) A* has mixed reviews (maybe SMX plus), any other boots I should look into? Street boots, maybe a bit of walking , worst case around campus, I'll take ventilation over waterproofness, I try to stay out of the rain. Any ideas from anyone? I know that comfort is personal but want to know which boots to try on when I make it out to a store...
Anyways, here's another link for the running shoe crowd

This past season I saw the benefits on wearing good boots. It's amazing what they can absorb and how much protection they offer. I wear Oxtars and have been really happy with them.
