Help! Any DVD player experts here?

    Hi,

I have a PRIMA HT-8104 home theatre system.

I think I accidentally switched the TV type (in Setup on the DVD player) away from NTSC and now my TV set will not display the DVD player menu.

Because my TV won't show the menu, I can't change the setting back.

I have tried unplugging it, waiting and then plugging it back in, but it does not help.

There does not appear to be any external way to re-set to factory settings.

    What can I do?

    Thanks

    Thanks, R1.

I went to the Prima main site but their link to support was not working.

I know the unit is low budget and my mistake was really dumb, but I would still like to fix it.

So, again, thank you very much!

Take it to someone's place who's TV supports more than NTSC. Even my Prima (read: cheap) HDTV will do NTSC, PAL, and a couple of others.
If you wanna say something, speak into the mic. It's right above my balls.

Have you tried looking though your owners manual, and following the button steps without actually seeing the on-screen menus? It may be as little as 4 or 5 steps.

I'm not sure how detailed a Prima user's manual will be, and if they detail the process that well, but might be worth a try?

Failing that, you may just have to wait until Monday, and call the manufacturer....don;t count on a Future Shop employee to have any idea.....probably a 1% chance they will know.
