Looking for some input on the various riding schools in the Lower Mainland (ProRide, Pacific Riding School, BC Safety Council.) I'll be taking a riding course in the spring, they all seem to be about the same price. Just looking for input and your thoughts on the merits of the various schools.
I bought my first sport bike in October (Yamaha R6), hoping this thread doesn't get hijacked with the "you shouldn't start on a 600 sportbike!" scoldings. I've got lots of miles on dirt bikes, I'm 40 and responsible, and invested in all the safety gear. I've passed my MSA and got in over 1000 km of riding in 2 weeks before I had to put her away for the winter (I live in Pemberton, so no winter riding.)
Even though I've already passed my MSA and have some miles under my belt, as part of being a responsible rider, I'm going to take the full motorcycle course in the spring. I would have taken it this fall but want to take the course at a time when I can practice what I learn. If I took the course in the fall, I'd spend the winter forgetting half the information without the chance to practice it.
