    Collisions no more

This is a strange new twist on bike safety , I don't think I really like being tracked by a gps at all times ( speed logging??) good to see more safety though , I am torn , what is your opinion ??? http://world.honda.com/news/2008/208...le-Technology/
I can only surmise that the "2005" in your name is derived from your year of birth. You weren't born yesterday, but pretty damn close to it. - Howattzer to Phantom2005

If you have a modern car, your speed etc is being logged anyway. At least about the last 10 seconds of data is anyway.

True but this a full time satellite system tracking you every sencond , now they just plot the speed limit of the roads and when you travel over the limit according to the gps , they automatically deduct the fine from your paypal account and shut down the bike from Norad and direct a robot cop car to your 20 ...... ....................... Ok , I need to stop reading JAMIE JAMES post , getting a little ahead of the 8-ball here

Hypothetically speaking you do a reverse desert loop that should take 10 hours at the speedlimit...

You do it in 5, with your cellphone in your pocket... at say 160kph average speed.

And you have some popo problems that include an investigation into your activities of the day, to demonstrate some wreckless abandon.

Between your phone pings and your debit card useage, everyone knows where you are anyways and quite accurately, when you were there.

Considering what hoops they'd need to jump through to get that info however, there'd have to be a LOT more to investigate than a simple speeding infraction.

The idea is great, but it would have to be implemented in all cars for it to be effective. And that's not gonna happen for quite some time .
