Well I figure it is better late than never, so I am still trying to put my bike away for the remainder of the winter but the thing (03 cbr600rr) won't start.
As a last resort, I have just tried a very small amount of quick starter in the airbox but not too sure I did it properly (I know, this isn't exactly the stuff you want to be using if you are unsure of it's use, but the extinguisher is close by). I sprayed a small amount into the air box then set the cover back on and connected the ITA sensor, then tried starting it again. Didn't work. Are you suppose to spray this narly stuff AS you turn the bike over???
Some background if anyone else has had a similar situation:
I wasn't able to get around to the winterization process till mid dec, a month since my last ride. When I went to start it and change the oil it wouldn't turn over. No starting problems whatsoever all summer. I have tried almost everything: Battery has been on a tender and is good, spark plugs are clean and provide spark, all fuses check out, gas tank is full, kill switch toggled and is in run position, fuel injectors sound when key is turned on, tried holding throttle wide open incase it is flooded, and she just won't turn over. I can smell exaust from the pipe and fuel around the engine.
Any advice is appreciated as I am on my last strings trying to get her going. I would take it in to a shop but the body is in pieces in my garage for painting.
