Need advice here....
Got 2 excessive and 2 reg speeding tickets from March 2007 to July 2008. Bday is June so no idea what tickets are in what 12month driving period.
Anyhow, got a letter today after getting convicted for the last excessive by Delta Police in Richmond traffic court. (took over 18months to get a court date)
I'm not going to get into arguments how I do or don't deserve this or how 3 of 4 were blatant fishing holes, etc. The excessive ones were on the bike. One on S.W. Marine 80+ in a 50, other one before Massey tunnel 121 in an 80. We're not talking 300km/h here. I think the third one was in the car down granville... as you know, if you're not doing 65-70 you get run over. Can't remember what the 4th reg ticket was.
I've got 21 days to either sign my licence away right now or plead my case. Anybody know a good lawyer?
Not being able to drive from Northshore to South Van daily would kill me. I'll go to anger management courses, community service, etc to make it happen. Any advice besides obviously slowing down? (which I've done - no tickets since July)
Back in the late 90's I had a bad year of 4 tickets and I had to pay a ton of money for the points but never came close to losing my licence. This must be a new thing. Even if you get an excessive on the bike every year it's gonna cost you big time in other ways now it seems.
With all the stress @ work right now, headaches with home improvement construction... this straw will break the camel's back.
