Will Canada be next ??
F**k STARBUCKS !!!! ..... I'm posing in front of Tim Hortons.
Life's to SHORT, don't WASTE it.
Recycle - SAVE the Planet !
That's the way to prop up an economy! Ban things!
For whatever the reason, I'm favor of restricting (not really banning) kids' motorcycle. USA got enough obese kids (in less degree, here, too), they should excercise more. They should start with mountain bikes, it's not like they have to travel somewhere far. It's not necessary to have people addicted to oil from early age.
If they also ban mountain bikes, then I'll go speechless.

You should write for The Enquirer.
Banning Video games would be a different story. If you took all of those kids off the couch and put them on dirtbikes, they'd shed pounds faster than politicians spend money.
I guess it would be a sore spot for me too, since my first bike was a 50cc when I was too young to remember.
EDIT: We are all aware that this is just an accidental by-law due to the lead paint scandal right?

The world is a tragedy to those who feel, but a comedy to those who think.
I'm not talking about competition level dirt biking, but just in general. I've done dirt bike once, mountain biking was a lot more physically demanding. Both were fun on its own, though.
I wouldn't panic yet. I'm sure the stakeholders involved in the sales end will put up enough of a stink to prevent that. The spirit of the legislation is targeted at a very different sort of product and I'm sure they'll change it before anything too crazy happens.
obsolute bull-shit if you ask me!!
i grew up on a trial bike since age 6!!! i would not be the person i am nor the rider i am had i not experienced that!!
dirt biking is an incredibly demanding sport.. shite, i cannot imagine how many times i had to climb through a river full or rocks n' stumps and natural objects / obstacles on any given weekend!!! you try n' do that w/out some soft of physical regiment n' you'd find yourself with an 80cc to 125/ 250cc on top of you in a second!! they are not just simply toys
I havent read the whole article but my knee jerk reaction is to run the damned politicians over w/a couple quads!!!

Erm, a few of you guys should actually read the article. It has to do with lead content in childrens "toys." The legislation in question apparently doesn't differentiate between a Honda and a Speak and Spell.
The first line of TFA: A Congressional act issued in response to last year's Chinese lead-tainted toys scandal could inadvertently end the sale of children's motorcycles like the popular Honda CRF50F.
It's a case study in poorly-thought-through legislation and the unintended consequences of same. It's not (directly) a motorcycle ban.
