In the true tradition of my historic bike buying, I think it's time to make a change from the V STROM. I love the strom, but I have found that I work so much during the standard bike season that I don't have the time to really stretch it's legs. It is so well suited to long rides that it tends to stay in the garage when I really just want to go for a quick rip. I want to find a more "do it all" bike. While I know this is impossible, I have still narrowed my choices down to two. I want a bike that can do the longer rides if I want, but will be happy to be a bit of a hooligan bike as well. My last criteria is that it should be (at least) OK for track days or even racing. With RPM going strong and the WMRC having a good upcoming season, not to mention f440 and Pitt Meadows air port (thanks Nancy) I want to leave this option (very) open.
My thoughts are:
Before you all tell me that neither is a great race bike, I will tell you that I get that so my third option (I guess) would be to keep the Strom and get a cheap track bike.
Fire away, flame away, whatever............
