Or gets your heart rate up? I mean, besides the obvious things like "Shit, that car just came into my lane".
Just thinking about the other thread on here today, about quitting riding. I know why I quit riding so many years ago, but I also know why I came back to it. This will be my second full season back on, and I'm as comfortable now as I was when I was younger, before my crash, before I quit. BUt there are always things that make me nervous. They don't crop up often, but sometimes.....
Tonight for example. Riding home down King George Highway, about 6pm. It was cold, and dark. Pavement was cold, tires were cold, and the bike wasn't tracking very well. In addition, I had an extra layer(fleece, hoodie, Icon vest, jacket), and felt my mobility was quite compromised. THAT made me nervous. The entire ride home tonight, I had to remind myself to breath, and stay relaxed. And this is a ride I do every night, rain, cold, warm or sun, doesn't matter. But tonight in particular, I was feeling tense, throttle control wasn't there, slow speed turns from red lights felt wobbly, etc.
